Star Cyclist Supports April Cancer Prevention Event in Memory of Father

Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC) is hosting its first Annual Bike for Prevention Bike-A-Thon virtually on a local and national scale from Monday, April 19th, 2021 to Sunday, April 25th, 2021. The Bike-A-Thon will feature honorary chair Ellen Noble, a professional cy-clocross and mountain bike racer. Noble has won four national championships and 2 Pan-American Championships; she hopes to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics! Ellen shares, “I lost my dad, Tom Noble, to stage IV colon cancer in 2012.

It’s Time to Celebrate the Lauren Anderson HS Softball Field, Saturday May 1st 10am

After a one-year delay due to the pandemic, the rededication plan for the Lauren Anderson Softball Field at Hopkinton High School is back on track.

Lauren’s family and the Field Restoration Project team will host a rededication ceremony on Field #6 on Saturday, May 1, at 10 a.m.

Given Lauren’s love for softball, it is fitting that the ceremony will be followed by a four-inning game between the Hopkinton High Girls’ Softball team and an HHS alumni team that will include some of Lauren’s teammates.

Start Line Brewery is releasing a new IPA which honors Marathon Pioneer, Bobbi Gibb. "Hopkinton-based Start Line Brewing Company today announced the release, on Thursday, April 8th, of its seasonal Marathoner IPA beer, which is dedicated this year to distance-running pioneer Bobbi Gibb. Roberta Louise ‘Bobbi’ Gibb was the first woman to run the Boston Marathon, in 1966, and was the recognized pre-sanctioned women’s winner in 1966, 1967 and 1968."
