HopBiz.Net: A New Business Directory for Hopkinton

At the end of September, Hopkinton resident Stephanie Gelbwachs will be launching her new website, is a directory for Hopkinton businesses, which will be populated at no charge with basic company information. The concept behind is to offer a single location for residents to search for any/all products and services available in town no matter the size/revenue of the company. The website is also a platform for various advertising -whether to present an offer, coupon or advertise their business or inform residents of a sale.

The Fall Season at Snappy Dogs

With school back in full swing, the Hopkinton hot dog food stand Snappy Dogs is gearing up for some tasty new hot dogs and loads of hungry customers.

Every Friday, Lisa Volpe Hachey and Theresa Boyce come up with a special hot dog, which are typically inspired by a current event, hot topic of conversation, or even a suggestion from their over 650 followers on Facebook. In the upcoming months, the duo have some unique specials planned that will highlight the change in season.

On Saturday, September 8, Water Fresh Farm hosted a Family Fun Day for area residents to mark the beginning of another year of learning for school age children. A part of the day long event fun filled activities were combined with information about healthy eating, a great combination to kick off the back to school season.

Wood Partners To Break Ground On $45 Million Alta Legacy Farms Apartment Community

Construction has commenced on a $45 million apartment community in Hopkinton, announced Wood Partners, one of the nation’s largest and most active multifamily developers. The Alta Legacy Farms development is expected to be completed by the end of 2013 with pre-leasing slated to commence next June.

The 240-unit development is part of the master-planned Legacy Farms project, a 730-acre suburban community consisting of 700 single-family and attached homes in addition to the Alta Legacy Farms community – the only permitted apartment site in Hopkinton.
