Hitchings Hardware Demolished

On Friday of last week, George Vrahaliotis, owner of Hillers Cleaners, came another step lcoser to his goal of owning his own building for his dry cleaning business as the old Hitchings Hardware building was demolished.

Word spread quickly on Friday morning that something big was going to happen and the few in the know showed up downtown to watch the action.

Vrahaliotis and his family were there to watch the old building come down. There was a slight dealy until the excavator arrived, but once the demolition began, it didn't take long.

A "New" Hopkinton Jewelers

On May 6th, Hopkinton resident Karen Stephenson celebrated the grand opening of Hopkinton Jewelers. The store, which Stephenson co-owns with her husband Michael, was previously owned by Renee Marino. The Stephensons felt that it was important to preserve some important aspects of the business that Marino established and therefore kept the name Hopkinton Jewelers.

"I kept the name the same," said Stephenson. "The former owner had a business here for fifteen years and it was Hopkinton Jewelers."

Weston Nurseries Grand Opening April 30

The Grand Opening of Weston Nurseries' new Chelmsford location is scheduled for the weekend of April 30th. From 10AM to 4PM, on both Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1, there will be day long activities to celebrate the opening of their Chelmsford location.
