Video: Community Members Plan Hopkinton Day

The annual tradition, Hopkinton Day is back and will be taking place the same day as the annual poly-arts festival this year, the date of the event is Saturday September 16th. The event will feature activities for all ages throughout the day and evening and a chance to bring community members together for a great time. Recently members of the community and local organizations met at a public meeting at Hopkinton High School to discuss some ideas for activities.

Video: Hopkinton HS Celebrates International Women's Day

Wednesday, March 8th was International women's day. The global day is to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. At Hopkinton high School student and staff participants each wrote on a banner who the most influential women is to them. Hopkinton Senior Sinayha Karthakeeyan started the banner effort at Hopkinton High School. View the news segment below.

Animal Cruelty Charge Brought Forward Against Greyhound Friends

Following a lengthy, collaborative investigation, the Animal Rescue League of Boston Law Enforcement Department has filed a criminal complaint against the Director of the Greyhound Friends of Hopkinton for animal cruelty. Greyhound Friends is located at 167 Saddle Hill Road Hopkinton. Louise Coleman of Sherborn has been charged with a felony count of animal cruelty in the Framingham District Court due to the alleged conditions at the kennel.

HHS Drama Ensemble presents "Enchanted April"

In post WWI Britain, disenchanted housewives Rose Arnott and Lottie Wilkins decide to take a break from their respective spouses. They answer an advertisement in the paper and rent a castle in Italy for a quiet holiday. Joining the ladies are Lady Caroline Dester, a young socialite, and crotchety Mrs. Clayton Graves, an older aristocrat. Liberated from their daily routines, the four women ease into life in rural Italy, and each finds herself transformed by the experience.

Sheriff Koutoujian announces applications for 2017 Youth Public Safety Academy

BILLERICA, Mass. – Middlesex Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian today announced applications are now available for youngsters wishing to participate in the 2017 Youth Public Safety Academy (YPSA).

Now in its 18th year, YPSA provides a safe, educational, low-cost summer camp option for Middlesex County youth. For the first time, the camp will now be open to children ages 8-12, where in prior years those ages 9-11 were eligible.

Video: Hopkinton High School 2017 Science & Engineering Fair

Some of the many Brilliant minds of Hopkinton High School showed off some of their work at the annual Science & Engineering fair. This year 28 projects were on display and the 12 winning projects got the chance to qualify for the regional science & engineering fair on March 10th. The contest featured 16 judges and the fair was sponsored by the Hopkinton Parent Teacher Association, Bose Corporation and Perkins Elmer.
