The Greyhound Friends 5K had a nice turnout and took place on a beautiful Saturday morning. The event raised funds towards needed dental equipment for the dogs at Greyhound Friends. HCAM news caught up with Kathy Lundgren of Greyhound Friends and the Male and Female winners of the race.
4th Grader, Abby Newman of Hopkinton and Vineyard Church Family-Life Pastor, Areli Biggers will head to the White House to have dinner with First Lady, Michelle Obama and other state-wide winners of a nation wide cooking competition. The two teamed up and entered the "2016 Healthy Lunchtime Challenge". The contest was a statewide competition hosted by PBS. This is another great accomplishment for Areli Biggers, Areli recently was featured and won a cooking competition on the Food Networks television program "Chopped".
June 27, 2016 - Please be advised that the Fire Department had to utilize a Fire Hydrant in the Fruit Street area Sunday evening to fight a fire. You may notice some discoloration in the water, through out town. You may need to flush your cold water line to help clear your pipes.

Gateway Green was a donor funded project to plant trees, flowers and plants on the west main street median by the 495 exits in Hopkinton. The project was a success and will bring more beautiful scenery to one of the gateways of the town. The Gateway Green Committee planned and helped execute the project, the Committee was made up of: Ken Driscoll, Fin Perry, Peter Mezitt, Jeff Barnes, Scott Richardson and John Westerling.

The Hopkinton Center for the Arts (HCA) announces the return of the Sunset Jazz Series every Saturday, starting at 7 p.m., from July 2 through August 6. Jazz fans are invited to bring chairs, a blanket, and dinner with them as they enjoy these free concerts on the HCA’s new patio at 98 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton. The 2016 line-up features:

The 110 Grill officially opened in the new addition to the 1 Lumber Street plaza. Hopkinton is the 4th New England location for the 110 Grill. Currently 110 Grill is located in Berlin, MA, Chelmsford, MA and Nashua, NH.
