Hopkinton Drug is proud to announce its upcoming 4th Annual Lecture Series which will consist of four different lectures; topics will include Low Back Pain, Emergency Preparedness for Pets and the Humane Society’s Role in the Community, Hypothyroidism and Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy. “We are so excited to bring this series of free, public events to the town of Hopkinton and surrounding communities,” commented Michael Macione, Director of Sales and Marketing for the store.

Registration for the 2015 Boston Marathon Now Open

Field size will be 30,000 official entrants for the 119th running of event.

BOSTON -- Registration for the 2015 Boston Marathon opens on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. ET. The B.A.A. will use the same process to register qualified runners as it used in the 2012, 2013, and 2014 Boston Marathons, allowing the fastest qualifiers to register first.

Registration will be held entirely online at www.baa.org. The qualification window for the 2015 Boston Marathon began last year on September 14, 2013.

Hopkinton Fire Invites Public to Station Open House

The Hopkinton Fire Department will open their station to the public on October 5th for their Annual Open House. The event at Fire Headquarters will be from 11am to 2pm. Residents and children will have the opportunity to view demonstrations, learn about fire safety, and tour the station. Refreshments will be provided and Sparky the dog is expected to make an appearance.

Town Hall Basement Closure

The Town Engineer is announcing that the ongoing work for the Town Hall Basement Project will require closing the basement to Town Hall starting Monday, September 8th. The basement will need to remain closed until completion of the project in October. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause as this necessary work is being completed.

Town Hall Parking Lot Entrance Relocation

The Town Engineer would like to announce that the ongoing work for the Town Hall Roof Replacement Project will require the entrance to the parking lot behind Town Hall to be closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (September 8th, 9th and 10th) from 7:30am – 4:30pm.

During this time the exit will be utilized as both the entrance and the exit. Uniformed traffic control will be present throughout the process and temporary signage will be installed.

Golden Pond Assisted Living: “The Magic of Music”

Hopkinton, Massachusetts–In observance of National Assisted Living Week®, September 7 to 13, Golden Pond will host a series of events developed as a special opportunity to bring together residents, families, employees, volunteers and the surrounding community to celebrate “Magic of Music.”

The “Magic of Music” celebrates the role music plays in the daily lives of assisted living residents. The theme also celebrates the bonds built between residents and their families, friends, staff, and volunteers that make the assisted living community a home for them.

New Resident Social

The Hopkinton Public Library Foundation cordially invites you to attend our quarterly New Resident Social on September 18 at the Hopkinton Public Library, 13 Main Street, at 7:00 PM. If you have moved to town this past Spring or Summer, you are welcome. Come meet other new members of your community! If you know a family member, neighbor, or friend who is new to Hopkinton, please let them know about this fun evening for new residents. Light refreshments will be provided. Children are welcome to attend, and crafts will be present for them.
