My name is Michael King and I am running for re-election to the Board of Health for a 3 year term.
The Board of Health plays a vital role in our community by working to control the spread of disease, to enforce sanitary codes, and to protect the environment.
For the last year, I have been able to bring my knowledge and experience to address various items brought before the Board of Health. I am a Process Development Scientist with many years of experience working in the Biotechnology Industry. My work has provided me with valuable experience solving open ended problems as well as exposure to environmental health and safety policies.
Since moving to Hopkinton, I have been involved in various activities and aspects of town government. Initially, I participated in the zoning advisory committee to help draft zoning bylaws. I am currently active in the Hopkinton Democratic Town Committee and am serving on the Board of Health. As I continue to become involved in town activities, I am constantly reminded of the many reasons why my wife and I chose to move to Hopkinton to raise our family. I am invested in this community and am passionate about the environmental issues that affect our town.
I would be honored to be re-elected to the Board of Health. I respectfully ask that on May 21st you vote for me, Michael King, for the Board of Health.
