(June 13, 2017 - Hopkinton, MA) The Hopkinton Center for the Arts (HCA) welcomes JP & Friends to
headline the HCA Summer Kick Off Concert Friday, June 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. The public is invited to

Dobson Memorial Fund. For more information, visit www.hopartscenter.org.

JP and Friends is an extraordinary band of nine professional musicians in the MetroWest Boston area,
covering rock, soul, blues, funk, and pop. The band is led by British guitarist Jeff Purchon, who has
played with some of music’s greatest; Robert Palmer, Noel Redding (Jimi Hendrix), Ginger Baker,
Vernon Reid, and Buddy Miles to name but a few.

This is the fourth year the Barbara Corbett Dobson and Dave Dobson Memorial Fund has supported
this annual concert in Hopkinton. The Corbett family created the fund in memory of their mother Barbara
and her husband Dave who loved music and spending time with family. To make a donation to the fund,
visit www.hopartscenter.org/give-now or feel free to mail a check to the HCA at 98 Hayden Rowe St.
Hopkinton, MA 01748.

The Hopkinton Center for the Arts cultivates an inclusive and vibrant community committed to the
exploration and enjoyment of the visual and performing arts throughout the MetroWest region. In 2015,
the HCA opened its new arts center, consisting of newly renovated classrooms, and a brand new 200-seat
performance space. The center houses classes in dance, music, fine arts, theater, ceramics, photography,
and is home to theatrical and musical performances year-round. To learn more about the HCA, visit
