Cornerstone at Milford, a sister community to Compass at Hopkinton, held its official groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, December 6 in Milford, and will offer the same service-enriched Assisted Living and a state-of-the-art Compass Memory Support Neighborhood which is affiliated with the Boston University School of Medicine’s Alzheimer’s Disease Center, to its clients.

The new community is being built on the site of the former Greenleaf Farm at the corner or Birch Street and Route 109 and provides easy access to the area’s shopping, dining and cultural attractions, as well as local medical facilities.

The new 85-unit community features spacious studio and one-bedroom apartments with a variety of indoor spaces including a dining room, a library with computers available for community use, a full-service salon, a café where residents can attend cooking classes and a large community room for the performing arts and visiting guest lecturers. Cornerstone is a monthly rental community with all-inclusive care pricing and a range of service and price options. No up-front buy-in and no real estate purchase is required. The facility is expected to open in the fall of 2013

Cornerstone at Milford will be managed by Massachusetts-based Senior Living Residents which currently owns and/or manages 11 other senior communities in Massachusetts, including Compass at Hopkinton.
