This year the Sharon Timlin 5K Race for ALS is going green. We have partnered with FitPlanet to get the race "Green Certified' and need to meet a list of minimum requirements to make this happen. We are looking for volunteers for various green jobs on race day.

Green monitors will ensure recycling/compost/trash goes in the right bins. Bike valets are needed to check-in and monitors bikes at the bike corral. Runners are encouraged to bike to the event to keep our carbon footprint low. We also need volunteers for the shoe collection drive. Please contact me as soon as possible if you can sign up for any of these shifts:

Shift 1 -- 6:45-9:00 am
Shift 2 -- 8:30-10:00 am
Shift 3 - 9:00-11:00 am

If you cannot come for the entire shift but can give us an hour of your time, that would be great too! We will meet a couple of days before the event to review the process.

We cannot do this without your help and appreciate you stepping forward. For more info on the Sharon Timlin race going green, Click Here.

Please contact me if you have any questions and feel free to forward this to your respective companies, clubs, family members and any eco-conscious citizens you know in our community that may be able to help. Older children and spouses are encouraged to volunteer too!
This is a fun day and a great cause. Come be the change you want to see in this world!
