Update on Legacy Farms Municipal Improvement Project

By contributor,

From Steven Zieff, Baystone Development:

Due to the imperfect nature of our email list; we will appreciate your sharing this with your neighbors on Clinton Street, Front Street and Alprilla Farm Road the following:

Now that we have repaired the Front Street culvert for the benefit of the Town, and made the final water line connection at Hopkins Road; the last phase of the 1 ½ mile Municipal Improvement Project is underway. This work involves the balance of infrastructure necessary to distribute the Alprilla Farm Wells #7 & #8 water to the Town and its residents.

This work will be conducted in the Town’s Right of Way property, and involves trenching from the newly installed 12” water line to the property line of each home, and installing a water service and shutoff.

Once our work is complete, you will be able to secure Town of Hopkinton water through an application to the Water Department, and the performance of a final connection on your property.

In addition to unmarked utilities in the right of way, to date our contractors have encountered invisible dog fence wires, irrigation heads and homeowners landscaping in these Town of Hopkinton areas.

We anticipate more of these inconveniences will occur due to no fault of the Town or our contractors.

Please be assured that we will make all reasonable efforts to avoid these features, but in the event we do impact them they will be repaired timely.

Detour signs will be in place and detail police officers will be there to assist motorists around the site.

Please do not hesitate to contact us, should you have any questions.

Regards,

Steven
