The 14th Annual Sharon Timlin Memorial Event to cure ALS took place at the Hopkinton High School Middle School fields. The event has raised over $1.5 million in research towards finding a cure for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) commonly known as ALS or Lou Gehrigs disease.

The event was started by former Red Sox pitcher Mike Timlin and his wife Dawn Timlin after Mike Timlins mother Sharon Timlin passed away from ALS in 2002. Mike and his wife Dawn have since done all they can to help the Angel Fund which is an independent non-profit charity supporting ALS reasearch and the University of Massachusetts Hospital.
