Newly Elected Town Clerk, Connor Degan had his first experience heading the ballot machine testing today. The machines were tested in preparation for the State Primary elections in September. Wardens, Russell Ellsworth and Richard McMillan assisted with the testing alongside Brenda L'italien from the company that makes the ballot machines, LHS associates. Four ballot machines were tested with the memory chip and spare memory chip. The Automark machine was also tested, the Automark machine is used for people that cannot use the marker to mark ballots or for blind people. Town Clerk, Connor Degan explained the machine; "it enables people who were never able to vote without assistance, to vote on their own." The entire prestigious testing process took about 2 hours and 30 minutes. The testing was a success and all machines worked properly!
