Hopkins Elementary School hosted the annual Egg Drop competition. Over the past couple weeks, Students put their science & engineering skills to the test working in teams of 4 to construct a contraption that would keep an egg from breaking if it were to be dropped off a building. Rather than the school roof, this year the Hopkinton Fire Department helped out with their ladder truck.

Only 1 egg survived the fall, the winning egg also survived 2 falls after from a higher distance. "Team Eggstreme" featuring students,Camryn August, Aidan Colleary, Abby Flanagan and Russell Perryman were the winning team. Their design featured toilet paper rolls which allowed the egg to drop softly and slowly from the high distances.
