No Support for Expanded Gaming in Hopkinton

By Michelle Murdock, Freelance Writer

The Board of Selectmen held an open forum on Wednesday night to discuss the newly revived bill for expanded gaming at the State House and to gather input from residents how they felt about a possible casino in Milford.

Before the discussion was opened up to community members, Selectman Chair Todd Cestari asked his fellow board members to weigh in briefly. None of the board members supported expanded gaming and all were concerned with the possibility of a casino locating in the neighboring town of Milford.

Watch the HCAM News video to hear what what each of the selectmen had to say, listen as Representative Carolyn Dykema talks about her position on gaming and how she thinks the bill will pass in the House and Senate, and hear what the residents of Hopkinton have to say.
