Watch Now: Hopkinton School Committee Discusses Mask Use in Public Schools

The School Committee met in the HCAM Studios on Thursday August 12th and heard feedback from the public about facemasks in Schools. The question to require facemasks in Schools to help prevent COVID-19 outbreaks has been a heavily debated issue throughout the country.

View some of the discussion in the video below, a vote is expected at the Thursday, August 19th School Committee meeting which will air live on our HCAM-ED channel and Youtube page, starting at 7pm.

Hopkinton Garden Club Awards 2021 Scholarship to Tiffany Mikulis

The Hopkinton Garden Club is excited to announce Tiffany Mikulis was selected as our 2021 Garden Club Scholarship recipient. Tiffany was awarded the scholarship at the Hopkinton High School Awards Ceremony in June. She will be attending Haverford College in the fall to pursue a degree in Environmental Sciences.

Please join us in congratulating Tiffany and wishing her the best of luck in her studies at Haverford!

Save the dates for the Upcoming School Committee Listening Series! When: Sunday and Tuesday evenings in August from 7:00 - 8:00 PM via zoom.
What is the Listening Series: The Listening Series will be targeted office hours to help the School Committee hear directly from specific sectors of our school community about their lived experiences, challenges, successes and concerns about diversity, equity and inclusion.

Hopkinton’s Elementary School Building Committee-2 Begins Work

The newly formed Hopkinton Elementary School Building Committee - 2 (ESBC-2) met for the first time on Thursday, July 15, at the Elmwood School.

The newly formed committee’s documented mission is “To facilitate the development of a proposed solution to the operational and educational constraints of Elmwood School that will be supported by the voters of Hopkinton, as well as the MSBA.”

HHS Girls Hoops Wins Community Service Challenge

The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) is excited to announced the Hopkinton High School girls’ basketball team as the winner of the 2020-21 MIAA Community Service Challenge! Members of the MIAA Student Advisory Committee reviewed the 68 incredible submissions before selecting the winner.

The Hopkinton High School girls’ basketball team executed a plan to serve dinner at a homeless shelter, Hotel Grace, in Worcester, Massachusetts. Eleven student-athletes met up to prepare the meal, drove the food to Worcester and helped serve it to those in need.
