In the April 12, 2022 Hopkinton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors meeting, the directors unanimously voted to support a Lykan Bioscience request for Tax Increment Financing (TIF) under the Massachusetts Economic Development Incentive Program.

The 2022 Hopkinton Annual Town Meeting will consider Lykan's Bioscience’s request. The Hopkinton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors strongly suggests a positive vote from those attending the Town Meeting, which is scheduled to begin today, May 2, 2022, at 7 pm in the Hopkinton High school Athletic Center.

The Chamber's support is based on the fact that a TIF is the right next step in attracting the expansion of a significant Life Science manufacturer to our community. A Lykan Bioscience expansion will revitalize an underutilized property on South Street while increasing real estate tax revenue. It will also create a positive impact on our community and especially other area businesses.

This link offers details that will support a positive vote for Lykan Bioscience and its request for a TIF.

The attraction and expansion of first-rate bioscience companies, the caliber of Lykan Bioscience, is vital to Hopkinton's economic well-being.
