Hopkinton Center for the Arts (HCA) announces the receipt of an additional $10,000 to its existing scholarship funds for students attending its 2021 Summer programs. The HCA regularly awards need-based scholarships through its Sandra Delbridge Scholarship Fund, but the additional funds will provide an additional 15 to 20 students the opportunity to enjoy creative theater, fine art, film, music, and dance programs. This year's summer session runs from June 28 through August 27 and is open to students ages 4 to 17. Weekly classes and intensives give students the chance to focus on skill building, improving technique, or trying a brand new discipline. .
“We were thrilled to receive these unsolicited funds from a very generous family foundation that understands that children need a safe and creative space, like the HCA, to spend part of their summer,” said HCA Director Kelly Grill. “We encourage families year-round to apply for our scholarship program if they want to enroll in our classes, but have a financial need. Thanks to the Delbridge Fund and all of our donors we are able to provide tuition assistance where needed.”
As a non-profit community arts center, the HCA strives to provide opportunities for everyone to benefit from an arts education regardless of income.
