Golf Ball Drop Winners Announced

Congratulations to Mara Power of Hopkinton, Erin Kelleher of Malden, and Clelland Johnson of Hopkinton for scoring 'holes-in-one' at this year's Education Foundation Golf Ball Drop. The three will split the event's $1,000 grand prize, with the $100 consolation prize for the ball furthest from the 'pin' awarded to Pam Campagna of Hopkinton.

Held on Monday, June 2nd at Hopkins School under balmy, early-summer skies, the annual event raised just over $7,000 for the Foundation, which will use the proceeds to fund innovation grants for the schools.

New CO-OP Football Team Holds Clinic at Boys and Girls Club

FRAMINGHAM, MA – Twenty-three members of the Keefe Technical School and Marian High School cooperative football team recently shared their football skills and team spirit with youngsters at the Framingham Boys and Girls Club.

The Mustangs, who received approval in March from the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) to merge and become a co-operative football program, held a two-day conditioning clinic from 4-6 pm on May 29 and May 30 at the Pearl Street club’s gym.

Spaghetti and Meatball Dinner

Spaghetti and Meatball Dinner, prepared and served by Hopkinton Boy Scout Troop 1 and families on June 20th from 5pm to 8pm at St. John the Evangelist Church on Church Street. Meal includes salad, bread, coffee and dessert. This will be a festive community event on the first night of SUMMER! This is a fundraiser to help fund a High Adventure/Leadership Trip to ALASKA for Summer 2014. Tickets are $10/person. Children under age 6 are free! Tickets are available from any Troop 1 scout or by contacting Mary Hubbe at mhubbe@comcast.net.
