Joint Meeting Tonight to Review Town Building Report

The Board of Selectmen will meet in a joint session with the School Committee and the Appropriations Committee tonight, Wednesday, June 13, In the Middle School Library. The meeting begins at 6:30PM with business related to the South West Village at Legacy Farms and the review of the Town Building Report completed by the Permanent Building Committee begins at 7PM and is scheduled to last until 8:30PM at which time the selectmen will go into Executive Session to consider contract negotiations.

Hillers Come Out on Top After Rain Delay

The Varsity Baseball team defeated Sharon at home on Friday, June 8,
7-2 in a Division 2 South Quarterfinal Game. Hopkinton and Sharon
picked the game up with the Hillers leading 3-1 in the bottom of the
3rd inning after it was postponed due to rain on Thursday. Sophomore
Nick Burns pitched the first three innings, allowing just one unearned
run and hitting a 2-run double. Senior Tim Moberg picked up his 6th
win of the season by throwing three shutout innings on Friday. Moberg

Hopkinton 3-2 Over Foxboro in South Sectional Finals

In a repeat of the 2011 season, the Hopkinton High School girls tennis team met Foxboro today in the South Sectional Finals. Once again, the Hiller Girl's tennis prevailed 3-2 over the previously unbeaten Foxboro squad. The HHS girls tennis will next play the winner of the upcoming North Section Final (Winchester vs Concord-Carlisle) for the Division 2 Girls Tennis State Championship. The Division 2 State Finals will be played at a site and time TBD.

Tennis Coach Nancy Clark encourages all sports fans to come out and watch the #3 seed Hopkinton High School Girls Tennis as they take on #1 seed Foxborough for the D2 South Sectional championship on Saturday, June 9, at 1PM at Medway High School ( a neutral site). Hopkinton previously beat #2 seed Hingham 3-2 in the semifinal round.

School Committee Plans for Superintendent Transition

At its Regular School Committee meeting last night, the School Committee voted unanimously to accept Dr. Landman’s resignation as Superintendent of Schools. As a result, it has become necessary for the leadership in the school district to formulate a recruiting plan that ensures a seamless transition and provides the appropriate leadership necessary to move all district initiatives forward.
