On January 30th at the Hopkinton Middle School auditorium starting at 7pm there will be a special town meeting, the meeting will also air live on HCAM. The major topic of the special town meeting will be what to change or not change in the town charter and also if permission should be granted for an additional $1.5 Million towards the Elementary School Building Project. In a few weeks, there will once again be a public ice skating rink available in Hopkinton. Medway based company, RP Marzilli is handaling the rink installation at the Carrigan Park Little League fields at 85 Main street. The last time Hopkinton had a public ice rink was in the winter of 2015 at the High School tennis courts. The rink is expected to be open in the early part of February but that is as long as the weather cooperates. David Clemons of RP Marzilli talked with HCAM news about the process of the rink installation in the video below.

Termination of Mandatory State of Water Supply Conservation

The Director of Public Works hereby terminates the Mandatory State of Water Supply Conservation, effective January 19, 2017, for all customers connected to the municipal water system. This action is the result of the recent change in drought status to our area, the return of ground water to normal levels, and consultation with officials in the town of Ashland regarding the water levels in the Hopkinton Reservoir.
