Marathon

The 26.2 Foundation and HCAM-TV are pleased to announce a collaboration that promises to present unique information and perspectives on the sport of marathoning.

Each April, Hopkinton, Massachusetts hosts the start of the Boston Marathon, the world's oldest annual marathon. But the marathon spirit can be felt throughout the year, thanks to numerous community activities that remind the community of the historical connections between the town, the Boston Athletic Association and marathoning.

The 26.2 Foundation has joined with HCAM-TV in an effort to cover, generate and gather many of the fantastic marathon stories that originate in and around Hopkinton. Our first initiative is the writing of independent reporter Michelle Murdock, who has been covering marathon activities in Hopkinton with her feature series, ‘Hopkinton's Marathon Footprint.’ The series is now being reprinted here.

Our second collaboration is the production of a TV series, ‘Runner's Journal’, which will cover timeless and relevant information for runners. The first episode features James Cassidy, MPT, and his colleagues from Platinum Physical Therapy. The playlist for this show is posted below. Stay tuned for more episodes, on all facets of running and marathon training, coming soon.
