Video: Hopkinton Education Foundation 2017 Golf Ball Drop

The Hopkinton Education Foundation hosted their annual Golf Ball Drop event. 1,000 Golf Balls were dropped from a hot air balloon provided by Remax and the closest to the hole won $1,000 while the furthest won $100. The rest of the proceeds from the raffle went to the Hopkinton Education Foundation and their effort to help the local schools. View more in the segment below.

Video: Hopkins School Hosts Solar Eclipse Viewing Day

Hopkins Elementary School hosted a Solar Eclipse viewing featuring eclipse related activities and also provided solar eclipse glasses to view the rare natural occurrence. Despite the fact school is on summer break, the event had a huge turnout of students and parents, staff, community members and volunteers. View highlights of the activities and also sped up footage of the eclipse which could be seen in the area clearly thanks to the solar eclipse viewing glasses.

Attention​ ​Hopkinton​ ​families​ ​of​ ​4-year​ ​old​ ​pre-k​ ​children:
We currently have openings in our 4-year old, PM preschool program for this school year.
Children must be 4 by 8/31/17 to be eligible for this program. Sessions run from 12:00 - 2:30,
Monday through Friday. Parents/caregivers must provide transportation to and from school.
We are located at the Elmwood School, 14 Elm Street. For further inquiry, please email Kim Sullivan, Preschool Coordinator, at [email protected].

Hopkinton Garden Club 2017 Scholarship Recipient

The recipient of the 2017 Hopkinton Garden Club Scholarship is Phoebe Lind. Phoebe was awarded the scholarship at Hopkinton High School Awards Ceremony earlier in June. Phoebe will be attending George Washington University this fall to pursue a degree in International Affairs with a concentration in Environmental Studies. The Garden Club will be accepting scholarship applications again next spring and will also consider applications for horticulture classes throughout the year.

Hopkins Elementary School hosted the annual Egg Drop competition. Over the past couple weeks, Students put their science & engineering skills to the test working in teams of 4 to construct a contraption that would keep an egg from breaking if it were to be dropped off a building. Rather than the school roof, this year the Hopkinton Fire Department helped out with their ladder truck.

During the ceremony, students sung patriotic songs and led by the honor guard, marched through the Town Common waving flags and celebrating our country.

Keefe Tech Announces Top Students for Class of 2017

FRAMINGHAM, MA – Keefe Regional Technical School is pleased to announce the top members and award winners of the Class of 2017.
The Class of 2017 Valedictorian is Simone Avery McHugh (Programming and Web Design) of Framingham. McHugh will attend Framingham State University and plans to major in Computer Science. The Class of 2017 Salutatorian is Makayla Hicks (Programming and Web Design) of Ashland, who plans to attend Fitchburg State University to study Game Design.

Say "Have a Great Summer" and "Thank you!" all at the same time.  The Thank-A-Teacher program is a great way to tell your child's teachers how much you appreciate the work that they do!  Each educator honored by a donation receives a personalized card from the Education Foundation thanking them for their work, and includes the name of your child.  The flyers will be sent home next week in your child's backpack or you can download it here!
