Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian sworn in for second term as Middlesex Sheriff

BOSTON – Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian was sworn in today – Wednesday, January 4 – for a second term as Middlesex County Sheriff during a state house ceremony held in Nurses’ Hall.

“Today is a day to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of our first term, but – more importantly – to look forward with great hope and optimism to the work that remains,” said Sheriff Koutoujian.

Massachusetts Secretary of State William Galvin administered the oath to Sheriff Koutoujian, who is just the 30th man to serve as Middlesex Sheriff in the Office’s 325-year history.

Hopkinton Schools Athletic Field Public Forum

The Hopkinton School Committee and Athletic Field Sub-Committee will host a public forum on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 7:00pm in the Hopkinton High School Auditorium. The public is encouraged to attend to hear a presentation regarding potential turf fields at the High School/Middle School complex. Following the presentation, there will be opportunities for members of the public to ask questions and offer feedback. The public forum will be filmed by HCAM.

Dr. Cappetta to Speak on “The Gift of Singleness” at Single Again Meeting January 20

Dr. Vinnie Cappetta, a licensed counselor and an associate pastor, will be discussing “The Gift of Singleness” at the Single Again meeting being held at 7:00 p.m. on January 20. The Single Again meeting is open to the public and will take place at the Parish Hall of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 61 Wood Street in Hopkinton.

In addition to being a counselor at the Check Your Compass Counseling in Hopkinton, Dr. Cappetta is also associate pastor of Crossroads Community Church, Framingham.

FF Finneran Graduates Fire Academy

The Hopkinton Fire Department is proud to announce the graduation of Firefighter Paul Finneran from the Massachusetts Career Recruit Firefighter Training Program on December 23, 2016. Paul was a part of 37 Graduates from 20 Fire Departments.

The graduates, 35 men and two women, represent the 20 fire departments of: Boxford, Devens, East Bridgewater, Everett, Falmouth, Hanson, Harwich, Holden, Hopkinton, Lakeville, Medford, Methuen, Newton, Norwood, Salem, Seekonk, Westwood, Weymouth, Winthrop and Woburn.
