The 13th Annual Sharon Timlin Memorial 5K, Color Run and Family Fun Event

Save the date! The 13th Annual Sharon Timlin Memorial 5K, Color Run and Family Fun event takes place on Saturday, June 18 from 8:30 AM-12:00 PM at Hopkinton High School. It's a fun day for the whole family! Register here before the race/color run sells out.

Enjoy the 5K race, new fun Color Run, fun and games for kids, a dunk tank, raffles, a silent auction, food and much more! Mike Timlin, retired MLB pitcher for the Boston Red Sox will be the honored guest. All proceeds benefit the Angel Fund towards ALS research.

Networking Works! on June 9

The Massachusetts Council of Aging (MCOA) is launching a new Regional Networking Group program right in your local area to support and assist people 50+ years old who are looking for a new job or guidance in transitioning into a new career direction. This program is open to any individual who resides in MA and is 50 years and older. Networking meetings will be held at the Hopkinton COA biweekly on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 9:00 AM through June 2016.

After a recount was done for the Board of Health open seat, the results were the same as the original. Jennifer Flanagan edged Dr. Phillip Cohen by 9 votes. 804-795. The recount was the first major task for newly elected Town Clerk, Connor Degan who stated that on the petition requesting the recount there was an issue with the absentee ballots "on the petition it also included that there was a breach in the chain of command of absentees".

In the below video, hear more from the 2 finalists for the Principal position at Hopkins Elementary School. The two finalists include current Hopkins Elementary Assistant Principal, Vanessa Bilello and current Principal of Charles G. Taylor Elementary School in Foxborough, Peter Regan. This comes after Tim Kearnan left the Hopkins Principal position and joined Woodland Elementary School in Milford, MA. School Superintendent, Dr. Cathy MacLeod said a decision is expected to be reached very soon.

Recount for Board of Health at 9am Friday June 3rd

At this years Town Election, 1 spot was open for Board of Health and Jennifer Flanagan who was appointed by the Democratic Caucus beat out candidate seeking reelection, Dr. Phillip Cohen by 9 votes, 804-795. The Republican Committee helped Dr. Phillip Cohen gather the at-least 40 signatures necessary (10 from each precinct) for a recount after ballots were mishandled at one of the precincts.

The votes will be recounted at Hopkinton Town Hall Friday, June 3rd at 9am in the Board of Selectmen meeting room and is open to the public.
