Fire Flow Tests may Cause Water Discoloration

Please be advised that multiple, required fire flow test will take place on Tuesday, April 19th , from approximately 10AM to noon. Because these tests will take place on main transmission lines, customers may notice some discoloration during and after the tests throughout town. Please avoid doing any laundry, dishwasher loads or other water use activities, during this time. Any discoloration that may occur will eventually dissipate. You may need to run your cold water line to clear your internal pipes once the test is complete.

The Xaverian Missionaries at Fatima Shrine (101 Summer Street, Holliston) invite you to celebrate the Jubilee of Mercy in the spirit of the Beatitudes. Our next gathering will be May 1st, beginning at 3:30 PM and concluding at 6:00 PM. This sixth presentation will be guided by Fr. Peter Schmidt, O.C.S.O., a member of the St. Joseph Abbey in Spencer, MA. The theme will be “Blessed are the Clean of Heart, for they will see God” - on prayer and mercy.

All are welcome. No charge and no reservations needed.

Enter Stage Left Theater Brings Charlotte’s Web to the Stage for Young Audiences

Enter Stage Left Theater (ESL) presents a children’s performances of Charlotte’s Web this May at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts. Based on the book by E.B. White, and adapted by Joseph Robinette, young audiences will delight in this beloved children’s classic about a clever spider and a pig named Wilbur, directed by Kirsten Raymond. Performances are Friday, May 20 at 7:00 PM, Saturday, May 21 at 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and Sunday, May 22 at 2:00 PM at the Delbridge Family Performance Space at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts (98 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton, MA).

Town of Hopkinton Seeks a Full-Time (40 hours per week) Administrative Assistant for its Land Use, Planning & Permitting Department

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Land Use & Town Operations, the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support to the Land Use Department and the Community Preservation Committee. Administrative responsibilities include but not limited to, transcribing and processing minutes for the Community Preservation Committee (CPC) meetings; maintaining CPC files; processing of invoices, budget monitoring and maintaining spreadsheets.

Honoring the Patriots on Patriots’ Day: Hopkinton Marathon Committee to Recognize Four Veterans at Start of 120th Boston Marathon

The Hopkinton Marathon Committee will honor four veterans at the start of the 120th Boston Marathon on Patriots’ Day, April 20, 2016. Three of the veterans, Ron Clark, Ron Remillard, and Len Robbins, served in the Army in Vietnam, while Naval aviator Ben Palleiko was stationed on the USS Kitty Hawk in the Western Pacific and Persian Gulf. All Hopkinton residents, the veterans will be honored at the starter’s platform.
