Roads Remained Closed Due to Crash

On 11/8/2018 at approximately 4:30 p.m the Hopkinton Communications Center received multiple 911 calls of a truck overturned on Spring Street. Police and Fire resources were dispatched and found a propane fuel truck on its side in the area of 176 Spring Street.

Police, fire and corporate resources remain on scene. A few homes are still under evacuation as a precaution. Spring Street is closed from Upton to Snowy Owl. Pond Street is closed from Stewart to Lyford. It is expected that the roads will remain closed through midnight tonight.

Community Notice: Water main Shut off November 14th

Please be advised that weather pending, we will be shutting off the water main on Fruit Street, from the well field across from the town owned Fruit Street property, toward Southboro, on Wednesday, November 14th. Residents in that area including North Street will be without water for approximately 6-8 hours while work is being completed on our new blending facility. The work shut down is scheduled for 8AM and in the event of inclement weather, will take place the following day.

Warren (4,510), Governor & Lieutenant Governor - Charlie Baker and Karen Polito (5,900), Attorney General - Maura Healy (5,392), Secretary of State - William F. Galvin (5,374), Treasurer - Deborah B. Goldberg (4,965), Auditor - Suzanne M. Bump (4,494).

Question Results: Question 1 - No (5,853), Question 2 - Yes (5,661), Question 3 - Yes (5660).

Community Notice: Winter Parking Ban in Affect Starting November 15th

The DPW wishes to remind all Hopkinton residents of By-Laws pertaining to the parking of motor vehicles during the winter months.

Traffic Rules and Orders, Town of Hopkinton, Article lV, Section 8 “It shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle, other than for an emergency, to park said vehicle on any street between the hours of 1:00am to 6:00am from November 15 through April 1.

North Andover Man Arraigned in Connection with Non-Fatal Hopkinton Stabbing

HOPKINTON – District Attorney Marian Ryan and Hopkinton Chief of Police Edward Lee have confirmed that Damon Deniso, 41, of North Andover, was arraigned today in Framingham District Court in connection with an alleged non-fatal stabbing that occurred this morning in Hopkinton.

Deniso was charged with armed assault to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Judge Matthew McGrath ordered the defendant held without bail pending a 58A dangerousness hearing scheduled for November 6.
