As of Sunday (3/11) morning, 99.1% of Hopkinton households have power. Eversource has committed to having ten crews in Hopkinton today to continue restoration efforts. If you are still without power, please contact eversource here or by calling them at 1-800-592-2000 to confirm they are aware you are without power.

Winter Storm Update 3-9-2018 4pm

Hopkinton has received a formal Estimated Time to Recovery (ETR) from Eversource of 6pm on
Saturday March 10th for full restoration of power to all buildings in town. As of Friday 3/9 4pm,
Hopkinton is at approximately 18% of households without power which is an improvement from
10:20am this morning when 25% of Hopkinton was without power. While we expect additional
households to be restored this evening and prior to 6pm tomorrow, we continue to urge residents to

Senior Center is Open Today. Extra Activities Canceled.

The Hopkinton Senior Center is OPEN for their regular audience until AT LEAST 2PM. Regular breakfast items and coffee are ready! Senior Center will serve lunch (menu TBD) but all extra-activities (haircuts, meditation, etc.) are cancelled.

For Seniors - the Senior Center is open for computer/internet access and to charge devices. Residents should bring their own power chargers for their specific devices - but power outlets are available.

PLEASE USE CAUTION TURNING ONTO MAYHEW AS THERE IS A LOW WIRE ACROSS PART OF THE ROAD.

Town of Hopkinton: Winter Storm Update 3-8-2018

Hopkinton now has over 110 known instances of trees or branches blocking roadways and/or wires down. More than half of Hopkinton is without power.

The volume of wires down and trees on wires, combined with the expectation that as it warms and potentially rains later today, make for a dangerous environment. Please stay home unless you need to be out on the roads. Falling limbs and trees remain a big safety concern.

eHop Public Forum on Town Growth & Development Postponed to Thursday March 22nd 2018

eHop will hold a public forum on Town Growth and Development on Thursday, March 22 at 7 pm at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts. The forum will provide a unique opportunity for residents and town leaders to listen and learn from each other in an open exchange of information and ideas. Much of the evening will be dedicated to Q&A beginning with a brief overview of recent and projected population growth, the impact on services, and information about how residents can engage in related discussions and decisions.

Sheriff Koutoujian announces applications for 2018 Youth Public Safety Academy

CHELMSFORD, Mass. – Middlesex Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian has announced applications are now available for youngsters wishing to participate in the 2018 Youth Public Safety Academy (YPSA).

In its 19th year, YPSA is a safe and educational, low-cost summer camp option for Middlesex County families. The camp is open to children ages 8-12 and is held at the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office Training Academy in Chelmsford.

Joint Meeting with School Committee & Board of Selectmen March 7th

FY 19 Budget Requests (Discussion/Action) The Board of Selectmen will continue reviewing FY 19 budget requests, including FY 19-22 financial projections and maintaining tax impact at 5% or less. The Board has invited the School Committee and Appropriations Committee to participate.
