In an email to parents , Superintendent Dr. Jonathan Landman announced that the Elmwood Principal Search Screening Committee has selected three candidates as Finalists to replace retiring Elmwood Principal Ilene Silver.
"I thank them for the time and care they invested in this process," said Landman. "We had a pool of nearly fifty candidates, of whom nine were invited in for interviews. The Screening Committee moved four of these individuals forward for Central Office interviews. Following the Central Office interviews, we are now inviting three to come back as Finalists."
In an update provided from Florida, the HHS Hiller Cheerleaders ended up in 6th place at the 2012 US Spirit National Championship and won the award for Best Sportsmanship. Congratulations! Go Hillers!

Join the HPTA at the Fun Family Event on Saturday! In addition to the highly sought after baskets, there will be a variety of activities including Lazer Tag, an inflatable Bouncy House, Obstacle Course and Slide. Fun free activities include face painting by the Vineyard Church, crafts with Whitehall Farm Studios and performances and balloon characters by Flippo the Clown. There will be free (while supplies last) coffee and hot chocolate from Starbucks and a Cold Stone Creamery ice cream sundae bar. Swoops the Eagle and Cubby the Bear will also make an appearance.
Today was the 18th and final Student Government Breakfast for Hopkinton High School teacher Nancy Clark who is retiring at the end of the school year.
Heavy suitcases lined the sidewalk outside the High School and parents hugged their daughters farewell and wished them good luck.
The Annual Student Government Breakfast is Friday, March 23, from 7:25 - 8:30 AM in the Hopkinton HS Cafeteria. All local government officials are invited to attend, and asked to RSVP as soon as possible to the Selectmen’s Office.
The breakfast is the culminating event in the Local Government Project at Hopkinton High School where students shadow a department, committee or local board to learn firsthand how local government works. The breakfast is an opportunity for students to mingle with local and state officials to discuss what they have learned.
Just two days before they leave for Florida to compete in Nationals, the Hillers Cheerleaders got in one final practice.

The Hopkinton High School Foreign Language Department is excited to be welcoming 9 French students through Friends of America Cultural Exchange. The students and their teacher will be here from April 20 – May 4 and are in need of host families during this time.
This exchange program has been very successful and rewarding in the past and much of its success is due to the generosity of our Hopkinton families. There will be an information session for host families the evening of March 21.
