Public Notice: Fire Flow Tests on July 20th and July 22nd May Cause Temporary Water Discoloration

The Hopkinton Water & Sewer Manager, Eric Carty has send out the following public notification regarding upcoming fire flow tests: "Please be advised that two required fire flow test will take place this week. The first is Thursday, July 20th, at approximately 10PM . The Second will be Saturday, July 22nd, in the morning. Because these tests will take place on main transmission lines, customers may notice some discoloration during and after the tests throughout town. Please avoid doing any laundry, dishwasher loads or other water use activities, during this time. Any discoloration that may occur will eventually dissipate. Please check you water before using it. You may need to run your cold water line to clear your internal pipes after the test is complete."
