New Procedure...
2 Hour Window for Item Drop-off

Dear Parents/Guardians:

As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the safety and security of our schools, we regularly examine protocols and procedures for the entry to our schools. One recent topic related to the number of visits that the schools receive from parents who are dropping off items for students. On the one hand, we want to provide our students with an opportunity to receive an item that he or she needs for that day, while on the other hand, the majority of the items that are dropped off in our offices are often ones that are not essential, and more importantly, require us to frequently open our doors.

While it is not our desire to prevent parents from coming to our schools, we do hope that you can understand our efforts to continue to enhance the security at our schools. As such, beginning on February 1, all schools will implement a 2-hour drop off window for parents to bring items to their children.

Drop-Off Times beginning February 1, 2013:
Center, Elmwood, and Hopkins Schools: 8:30-10:30 a.m.
Middle School and High School: 7:30-9:30 a.m.

We thank you in advance for your understanding.
