Town of Hopkinton Seeks a PT (16 hour) Dishwasher/ Kitchen Worker

Under the general supervision of the Senior Center Director, the Dishwasher/Kitchen Worker will be responsible for cleaning all dishes, cooking utensils, and equipment; kitchen maintenance and support services in the provision of meals for the Town's Senior Center programming. Hours may vary but are generally between 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Colella's Liquor Store Reportedly will Remain Open

Manager of Colella's Supermarket at 61 Main Street Dale Danahy reportedly announced today that despite the grocery store portion closing soon, the liquor store portion will remain open. The supermarket will be closing in the near future, the date has not yet been announced. No date has been determined to how long the liquor store will stay open after the grocery portion closes or what the future of the property is.

Hopkinton Police Conducting Alcohol Compliance Checks

The Hopkinton Police Department will be conducting annual Alcohol Compliance Checks of all licensed establishments beginning in February 2015 through June 2015.

These compliance checks are made to ensure that all establishments licensed for the sale of alcoholic beverages In Hopkinton follow and comply with all rules and regulations pertaining to the safe sale and service of alcohol within town.

This notice is made in accordance with compliance policy and with the recommendation of the ABCC (Alcohol Beverage Control Commission)

Local Maple Syrup Producer to Talk at St. Paul’s March 1

Sean Davan, owner of Woodville Maples of Hopkinton, will be coming to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on March 1 to share his experience and passion for making maple syrup. The talk, which begins at 4:00 p.m., will review the history of maple syrup, how it is made, and provide techniques to help people try their own backyard sugaring. Tony-Nominated Actor Presents New Workshop in Hopkinton

The Hopkinton Center for the Arts announces a new Actors’ Monologue Workshop lead by Hopkinton resident and Tony Award Nominated actor Jere Shea. The workshop will give participants, high-school aged and older, the chance to improve their acting and auditioning techniques through the performance and development of a scripted monologue. The workshop runs March 7 and 14, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, at Hopkinton High School, 98 Rowe St. and the cost is $60. Register at HopArtsCenter.org or by calling (508) 435-9222.
