On November 19th, join Andy Ritz as he discusses the eternal struggle of the college-bound Millennial - do what you love, or do what will make you money? He'll talk about which path he chose, and how he came to that decision.

Then, Evren Gunduz takes Stage 3250 to talk about creating the next generation of leaders. He'll tell you how he's doing it - and why it needs to happen now.

On Saturday November 8th, you are all invited to COME AND JOIN US, as we celebrate our Founder: ST. GUIDO M. CONFORTI. The theme for this celebration is: “ST. GUIDO M. CONFORTI his Life, Mission and Consecration: all the followers of Christ are missionaries”. The presenter will be Fr. Paul Frechette, SM a member of the Society of Mary (Marists). At present he is the formation director for his community in Boston. The evening program will begin with the celebration of the Mass at 5:15pm followed by Pizza and the presentation. No charge and no reservations, all are welcome.

Hopkinton Parks & Recreation Commission Vacancy Announcement

The Board of Selectmen voted at its October 21, 2014 meeting to accept the resignation of a member of the Parks & Recreation Commission and is currently seeking candidates for this position.

A joint meeting, consisting of the remaining members of the Hopkinton Parks & Recreation Commission and the members of the Board of Selectmen, will convene and vote at a later date to appoint one individual to temporarily fill the seat until the next Annual Town Election in May of 2015.

Dr. Cathy MacLeod and Police Chief Edward Lee answered questions regarding Bus Driver accused of OUI

59 Year Old, Robert Murphy of Ashland, Massachusetts was arrested Saturday Night (October 18th, 2014) and accused of drinking and driving a school bus with 25 members of the Hopkinton High School cross country team on board while on the way back from the Barnstable Fairgrounds in Falmouth, MA. Murphy had been accused of DUI twice prior to the incident, the state CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) check conducted did not include Murphy's prior offenses since they took place prior to the five year period the CORI check was conducted.

Second ESBC Meeting on October 27

HCAM is hosting the October meeting of the Elementary School Building Committee at 6:30 PM. The meeting is open to the public, and is airing live on HCAM-TV and hcam.tv/live. Those interested can come to the studio at 77 Main Street. The ESBC anticipates to address the designer selection process, discuss enrollment projections and plan for upcoming public forums.

Peace Day Comes to HCAM

On November 7th at 7:00 pm, HCAM studios will host a celebration of peace.

The night will include a screening of "The Day After Peace" by Jeremy Gilley. The night will also feature the premiere of Hopkinton's Peace Day, a compilation video of residents' thoughts on peace and a peaceful world. If you were interviewed at PolyArts or on Peace Day at the Farmer's Market, your interview will premiere!
